ARSOW - Nepal has been working in various sectors of social development with the view of enhance livelihoods of rural people. The major sectors supported by ARSOW- Nepal are: Social Mobilization, Non-formal Education, Renewable Energy Promotion, Natural Resource Management, Micro Enterprises Promotion, Capacity Building, Public Health, Water Supply and Sanitation etc. The major projects implemented by ARSOW - Nepal in the previous years are:

 

• Awareness Raising Activities on HIV/AIDS and Sexual transmitted disease with technical and financial support of UNICEF.

 

• Various Training such as Participatory Rural Appraisal, Safe Motherhood, Community Action Process, Saving Credit, Leadership Development, Gender Sensitization, Slurry Management etc. with the support of different donors (UNICEF, UNDP, SEARCH Nepal, BSP, Caritas, PACT Nepal, World Education, NAF) and NGO's internal resource.

 

• Vegetable Production, Nursery Management and Establishment training at Nangkhel, Changu of Bhaktapur, Sainbu, Bungmati of lalitpur funded by World Vision International.

 

• Awareness raising on Water Borne Diseases and Sanitation in Lalitpur funded by World Vision International Nepal.

 

• Rural Energy especially Improved cook stove development and establishment training jointly organized by World vision International and ARSOW-Nepal with financial support of World Vision.

 

• Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Program in Kabre VDC of Dolakha district, Dhungkharka, Chyasingkharka Rabiopi,KavreVDCs and Panauti Nagarpalika of Kavre district.

 

• Integrated Child Development Program (ICDP) funded by UNICEF Nepal in Kattike Deurali VDC of Kavre district.

 

• Out of School Program (OSP) - I, OSP - II, OSP Pilot and Parenting Orientation (PO) in Kattike Deurali VDC, Kavre

 

• Income Generation and Agro-forestry Program for Disadvantaged Ethnic Groups (Damai, Sarki, Kami, Tamang, Majhi) of Kattike Deurali VDC, Kavre, funded by UNDP under Participation in Development Program (PDP) - III.

 

• Pit Latrine (Sulav Souchalaya) Promotion Program for Disadvantaged families and primary schools of Kattike Deurali VDC, Kavre.

 

• Advocacy and awareness creating activities in district and VDC level such as Child and women rights, Sanitation campaign, HIV/AIDS prevention program, NID program etc.

 

• Non-formal Education Program in Nagre Gagarche, Wangthali, Begsimle, Simthali, Madan Kundari and Kattike Deuarali VDCs of Kavre district with the technical and financial assistance of PACT Nepal.

 

• Non-formal Education and Women Literacy Program in Pokharichauri and Dhuseni Sivalaya, Majhifeda, Nagre Gagarche with the technical and financial support of UNICEF Nepal.
